LARRY! Why is Flashlight Outlet now distributing portable water purifiers and filters? It seems a little off base. Several reasons, here are a few. Numerous events over the years have highlighted our government’s inability (on any level) to deal with even a modest emergency. Five days to get water to our own people at the super dome. 5-DAYS! Are you kidding me! FedEx could deliver planes full of water around the planet 10X in the same amount of time. The average person dies in 3-4 days with no water. Following are just some of the
problems around us in Valparaiso, IN and we sit on top of the largest supply of
fresh water in the world. Why am I concerned about our water? A Google search for “Boil
orders in Indiana 2010” Produced 141,000 results. The following are from page
one only! "Boil orders in the USA 2010" Produced 3,020,000 Hits. Something is seriously wrong with our water folks! Since 2004, testing by water utilities has found 315 pollutants in the tap water Americans drink. More than half of the chemicals detected are not subject to health or safety regulations and can legally be present in any amount. The addition of chemicals in
most cities water supplies: Sodium Fluoride: Fluoride is another hotly disputed
additive. Some studies indicate, however, that fluoride is carcinogenic and its
addition to municipal water is irrational and dangerous. Although I do not consider myself a tree hugging environmentalist (yes we recycle, don’t litter etc.) I watched the 2009 documentary Waterlife on what is happening to the Great Lakes; Astonishing! I have read several books on water quality and related subjects like water storage and runoff. Have spent countless hours on the internet researching water treatment etc. My conclusion: As a species we have screwed ourselves to a wall and are just to stupid to have figured it out. Further, I thought
it would take the hand of God to destroy something as large as the Gulf of
Mexico, but BP was able to accomplish the feat with just one well. We live by

It appears BP has another leak
to deal with; this one, in our own backyard. A mixture of diesel fuel and
gasoline is apparently leaking from a BP pipeline into a neighborhood in
Hammond, Indiana, making life for residents there pretty miserable. The NRDC found the contents of one bottle, labeled "Spring Water," actually came from an industrial parking lot next to a hazardous waste site. Ladies and Gentlemen: The facts are our water is SCREWED-UP BIG TIME! We need to protect our families, friends and ourselves period. The government is incapable and only getting worse. If you purchase insurance for your health, life, home, etc. “YOU ABSOLUTELY NEED TO PURCHASE WATER INSURANCE NOW” It’s cheap and you only have to pay once. We have been negotiating with some of the most respected names in this industry. We have signed agreement's with Katadyn and Berkey Water Systems.
